Fran Zell
Fran provides editorial, publicity, and communication consulting services
to business, nonprofit, and media clients in Wisconsin and Illinois.
Her past experience includes writing and editing newsletters, brochures,
educational CD-ROMs, fundraising material, and other internal and external
communications for educational and nonprofit agencies.
Fran is a former feature writer and restaurant reviewer for the
Chicago Tribune. Her
articles have appeared in newspapers and magazines in Chicago and Wisconsin.
Fran has also taught English and journalism to college students and
led writers' workshops. Her 2001 novel, The Marcy Stories, was
praised for Fran's "simple, lucid eloquence" and
"poet's eye," and won the
Wisconsin Literary Association's Banta Award for literary achievement.
Fran holds a master's degree in English from the University of Illinois
at Chicago and a bachelor's degree in journalism from Michigan State
